Blessings of Grace
We begin our first Daily Bible Reading with a look at the first chapter for 1 Corinthians:
"I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus, that in him you were enriched in every way, with all discourse and all knowledge,as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you, so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ." -1 Corinthians 1:4-7, NAB
This same grace bestowed on the church in Corinth that Paul was thanking God for has also been shared with you. His grace is as true today as it was 2000 years ago. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, you have been given the gifts to share the good news of Christ with the world. Our lives, as hectic as they may be at times, should be centered on the peace that comes through our faith in Christ. As Paul thanked God for the grace given to the church in Corinth, I also thank God for the grace that He has given you.
NOTE: Truly, I say to you that what you read here on this website comes from the Spirit and not myself. All honor and glory belong to God. By no means do I consider myself a gifted speaker, writer, or theologian. Only with the gifts that He has given me can I pull any of this off. And now, as promised, the Weekly Bible Readings will become Daily Bible Readings. Each week, there will be short daily readings Monday through Saturday and a longer lesson (like this one) on Sunday. Thank you for the continued blessings and support.
