|1 Corinthians 1:18|

In 1 Corinthians 1:18, Paul addresses an issue that is just as true today as it was 2000 years ago:
"The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." -1 Corinthians 1:18, NAB
When sharing our faith with the world, there will be many who ridicule the things you say. Many times, people who do not share our love of Christ will mock us for our beliefs. As difficult as this may be, it becomes even more difficult when those closest to us, our family and our friends, begin to do the same. No matter what anyone may think or say, we must stand firm on the Rock that is our Lord, refusing to waiver in our faith. At one time in my life, I failed to see the beauty of the cross, and I ridiculed those who did. Now, I stand hoping that those who ridicule me will one day find the same beauty that I can now see.
NOTE: Truly, I say to you that what you read here on this website comes from the Spirit and not myself. All honor and glory belong to God. By no means do I consider myself a gifted speaker, writer, or theologian. Only with the gifts that He has given me can I pull any of this off. And now, as promised, the Weekly Bible Readings will become Daily Bible Readings. Each week, there will be short daily readings Monday through Saturday and a longer lesson (like this one) on Sunday. Thank you for the continued blessings and support.
