Understanding Through the Spirit
Trying to understand the mysteries of God has forever been out of man's reach. Thankfully, He gives us the Holy Spirit:
"But as it is written: 'What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him,' this God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit scrutinizes everything, even the depths of God." -1 Corinthians 2:9-10, NAB
The true nature and depth of God will always be beyond our understanding. Those who claim to truly know God are fools, to say the least. Theologians and philosophers have dedicated their entire lives studying volumes of Scripture and religious texts, but they still cannot truly understand Him. The problem is that we think within the limits of our brain. We try to sense Him through our sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell, but the mysteries of God go far beyond our senses. If we want to draw closer to Him, we must do so through the Holy Spirit. Let go of your senses, let go of your mind, and let the Holy Spirit show you the way.
