Impurity...

God will not force us to live pure lives:

"Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts for the mutual degradation of their bodies. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Males did shameful things with males and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity." -Romans 1:24-27 NAB

It was never God's intention for us to live impure lives, but we do anyway.  Today, we learn that God is not going to fight us on our impurities.  If we are determined to live a sexually impure life, He is not going to stop us.

There is nothing pure or beautiful about going against the natural way God intended for us to be.  Paul clearly tells us that choosing to live impure in this way is putting the desires of our flesh before our desire to please God.  We will all face the temptation to live impure sexual lives, but we must do everything we can to resist that temptation.  At no time does the Bible ever tell us that it's okay to be gay or lesbian because "God made you that way."  Instead, it is very clear - these lifestyles are not acceptable.

As harsh as this may seem, I do not want anyone to think that I am condemning them.  I condemn the actions, not the person.  In a similar manner, it is equally sinful to give into our desires through pornography and other vices.  The world may be ever-changing and becoming more liberal, but our God is still the same God.  He is the God of Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, and David that condemned these same practices so long ago.  Nothing has changed.  The rules are the rules.

You can believe what you want, and you can live the life that you want.  If God is not going to stop you, then I am certainly not going to stop you; however, you do so at your own peril.  You may have the free will to live as you please, but that does not mean that you should live as you please.
